Which System?

Date Published: November 13, 2013

As the title suggests, this weeks blog is about which system is right for you.

Before we start, we need to know the final floor finish (Tiles, Laminate, Carpet, etc.) in the area to be heated, the system chosen will depend on this.

Under Tile

Our cable systems are designed for under tile heating.
You have two options:

Both of these are the same system, but the cable in the cable mat kit is pre-attached to a meshing to allow ease of installation in larger areas.

The loose cable is the same cable but supplied loose on a drum. The loose cable is more convenient to lay in small areas such as bathrooms due to their awkward shape.

Under Wood / Laminate

Our Carbon Heating Film is designed for installation directly beneath wood or laminate floors.

Carbon Floor Build up

For this system, we require a dimensioned plan of the area to be heated as it is a bespoke system and the heating elements are cut to size.

We will supply you with a full element layout to make installation quick and easy.

Under Carpet and Vinyl

For underfloor heating under carpet and vinyl, the carbon heating film will be used but with an additional layer of our Heat-Pak dual overlay board (4mm top board and 3mm base board).

The Heat-Pak lays floating over the top of the standard carbon system which allows you to lay your carpet or vinyl floor covering.

As always, if you need any further information or advice please do not hesitate to contact us.
